Dev-C is an full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Win32. It uses GCC, Mingw or Cygwin as compiler and libraries set. This project has been superseded by http://sf.net/projects/orwelldevcpp/. As far as the Bloodshed IDE (Dev-cpp) is concerned, I've been using it for some time and would recommend it to anyone who wants a free compiler for their C work. The latest version, along with the bundled Mingw compiler, provides good compliance with the C standard.

This is a great IDE for C++ (Windows). Great for academic programs. It comes with a C++ compiler and a slew of popular c++ libraries already for use. Very simple and intuitive to use if you don't want to use Visual C++, Turbo C++, or DJGPP. Check out the screenshot.

I definitely like this version more than Delorie's DJGPP.
